Clemson fifth-year senior first-baseman Khalil Greene in the Padres’ farm system. Greene was a first-round pick of the Padres last season.

Johnson hit .338 with 12 homers and 51 RBIs in 2003. He also walked 63 times and had a .498 on-base percentage. In his four-year career, Johnson was a career .344 hitter with 58 homers, 52 doubles, 213 RBIs, 169 walks, 25 stolen bases, and a .465 on-base percentage in 235 games. The 58 homers were one shy of the Tiger career record of 59 held by Jeff Baker (2000-02) and ranked tied for fifth in ACC history. He also made 2,131 career putouts, second-most in NCAA history.
