Men’s Track And Field Set To Compete At Kentucky Invitational

The Clemson men’s track and field team will compete at the Kentucky Invitational this weekend, Jan. 14-15. The Tigers will face competition from 12 other universities, including Michigan State, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky, East Tennessee State, Middle Tennessee State, Arkansas State, Western Kentucky and Virginia Military Institute. The Tigers are the defending Kentucky Invitational champions in the 4x400m relay, an event that will be contested Saturday evening.

On Friday, the Tiger pole vaulters, high jumpers and throwers will open competition for Clemson at 6:00 PM. Mitch Greeley, Brent Hobbs and Kyle Shaw will represent Clemson in the pole vault, while Adam Linkenauger and Arthur Hinton compete in the high jump. Danny Alge will be the lone Tiger in the weight throw.

Brent Hobbs, Brent Hobbs and Kyle Shaw will compete in the 800m. Roy Cheney, while Scott Kautz, Cowin Mills and Darius Acker will compete as the “B” team.
