Men’s Tennis Falls To Georgia Tech

CLEMSON, SC – Roger Anderson won at both number one singles and number one doubles in leading 23rd-ranked Georgia Tech to a 5-2 win over Clemson in an Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis match at Clemson, SC Wednesday afternoon.

With the win, Georgia Tech improves to 12-3 overall, 2-0 in the ACC. Clemson falls to 3-12 overall, 0-1 in league play. Georgia Tech is ranked 23rd and Clemson is 47th in the latest ITA poll.

Anderson defeated Brad Emendorfer 6-3, 6-1 at number one singles and teamed with David Wright at number one doubles to defeat Clemson’s Darren Knight and Eric Cohn at number one doubles, 8-5.

Marko Gojanovic and Joey Hopke both won singles matches for the Tigers. Gojanovic defeated David Wright at number three singles 6-2, 6-2. Hopke won his match at number five singles with a win over Alex Navinkov 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Clemson will play at Florida State on Friday, March 23, in an Atlantic Coast Conference match in Tallahassee, FL in the Tigers’ next action.
