CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Clemson defeated Southwest Louisiana 4-0, and lost to South Alabama 5-2 in the Corpus Christi Men’s Tennis Classic on Sunday.
Clemson’s has a 6-4 record overall this season and will play at Georgia on Friday, March 12th at 2pm. Tomasz Boniecki and Ryan Bauer we successful at two and four, singles defeating Fredrik Mellin and Paul McInerney of South Alabama. The doubles team of Luis Garcia and Ryan Bauer beat the South Alabama team of Christian Thall and Danni Homedes in number two doubles. Clemson was victorious over Southwestern Louisiana 4-0. This is the Tigers first shut-out in the 1999 season. Tomasz Boniecki defeated Rafael Fontes 6-0 and 6-1 at number one singles. Josh Goffi clinched a victory over Eduadro Gordilho 6-4, 6-2 at number two singles. Bradley Emendorfer was successful at fending off the efforts of Bruno Puzzi at number five singles 7-6, 6-3. Joey Hopke added another Tiger victory defeating Carlos Himpler 6-1, 6-1.
