Men’s Soccer Remains in the Top 10

The Clemson men’s soccer team is ranked in the top 10 in three soccer polls released Tuesday. Clemson is ranked fourth by Soccer America and ninth by the NSCAA. The Tigers are also ranked sixth by Soccertimes.com. Clemson’s upcoming opponent, South Carolina is ranked ninth by Soccer America and 11th by the NSCAA.

The Tigers will play South Carolina on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in Columbia, SC in Clemson’s next action. Clemson is 6-1-1 on the year. The Tigers are 1-1 in the ACC this season. Clemson has won four matches in a row.

Dimelon Westfield is Clemson’s leading scorer with 20 points. He has nine goals and two assists this season. Fabio Tambosi has seven assists to lead the team. This will be the 30th meeting between Clemson and South Carolina on the soccer field. Clemson leads the overall series 18-10-1. Clemson has a 6-0-1 record in the last seven meetings. Head Coach Trevor Adair is 6-1-1 vs. South Carolina. Clemson leads the series in matches played in Columbia, SC 8-4-1.
