Men’s Soccer Picks Up A Two-Time Junior College All-American

Clemson, SC – Dimelon Westfield, a two-time junior college All-America forward from Young Harris College in Georgia has signed a national letter-of-intent with the Clemson men’s soccer program. He is the fifth signee for 2001 with Trevor Adair’s program.

Westfield, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, scored 30 goals and had 18 assists at Young Harris College this past year. He scored 35 goals in his freshman year (1999) at the school. In 1999 and 2000, he was named first-team All-South at the junior college level and was named the most valuable player of the team.

Westfield attended Malick Senior High School in Morvant, Trinidad from 1994-98 and was a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Under-20 National team for two years. The 5-9, 165-pound player will have two years of eligibility at Clemson.
