Men’s Cross Country To Hold 2002 Clemson Invitational and South Carolina State Championships Saturday

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s cross country team will hold the 10th Annual 2002 Clemson Cross Country Invitational and South Carolina State Championship this Saturday on the campus of Clemson University. The Tigers won last year’s South Carolina State Championships, and will compete against College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina, South Carolina State and Wofford for the 2002 state title. Teams from the Atlanta Track Club, Charlotte, Georgia and Western Carolina will also compete in the Clemson Invitational.

The collegiate men’s 8K race is scheduled to begin at 8:45 AM at Jervey Meadows behind the Jervey Athletic Center. The meet continues at 9:30 AM with the collegiate women’s 6K race, followed by four 5K high school races. The high school varsity boys race is slated for 10:30 AM, followed by the high school varsity girls race at 11:00 AM. The high school junior varsity boys take to the course at 11:30 AM, then the high school junior varsity girls race concludes the meet at 12:00 PM.
