Men’s Cross Country To Compete At Southeast Regional Championships

Nov. 12, 2004

The Clemson men’s cross country team will compete at the 2004 Southeast Region Championships on Saturday in Greenville, NC. The Tigers will face teams from across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and Virginia. The men’s 10K race is slated to begin at 12:15 PM.

The Tigers are looking to improve upon their fifth place finish one year ago. The top two teams as well as the top four runners that are not members of the championship team will advance to the NCAA Championships. This year’s national meet will be held on the campus of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, IN on Monday, Nov. 22. Considered to be one of the strongest regions in the nation, this year’s regional field features eight individual and team conference champions from nine conferences throughout the southeast.
