Mac Calloway Named Men’s Basketball Strength And Conditioning Coach

Clemson men’s basketball head coach Oliver Purnell has named Mark “Mac” Calloway the strength and conditioning coach for the Tigers. Calloway comes to Clemson from Dayton, where he served as a member of Purnell’s staff since September of 2002.

A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Calloway received his Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Florida in 2000. Following his graduation, Calloway was an intern with the WNBA’s Orlando Miracle from May 2000 until August 2000, when he was named an assistant strength coach with the NBA’s Orlando Magic. In May of 2001, Calloway was named the head strength and conditioning coach for the Orlando Miracle. While in Orlando, he was also employed for private training by Pro Sports and Fitness, Inc.

Calloway is a certified USA Weight Lifting Club Coach and is also a member of the National Parachute Association.
