Leggett Named to Mackey Watch List

Clemson, S.C.—Clemson tight end Jordan Leggett has been named to the Watch List for the 2016 John Mackey Award.  The honor is presented each year to the top tight end in the nation and is named in honor of former Louisville and Baltimore Colts tight end John Mackey.

Leggett was a finalist for the award last year when he was also named a second-team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation.  Leggett finished last year with 40 receptions for 525 yards and eight touchdowns.  His touchdown reception total led the Clemson team and tied a school record.

He had a streak of five straight games at midseason with a touchdown reception, a record for a Clemson tight end.  He finished the year with five receptions for 78 yards and a score against Alabama in the National Championship game.

The senior from Navarre, Fla., needs 28 receptions, 394 yards an two touchdowns to established Clemson records for a tight end in all three categories.
