Jason Wilson Joins Clemson Athletic Department

Bill D’Andrea, Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs at Clemson University announced Monday afternoon that Jason Wilson has been hired as the Assistant Director of Olympic Sports Promotions for the Athletic Department.

His primary responsibilities will include developing specific marketing and promotional plans to meet the needs of our women’s basketball team and other women’s Olympic sports.

“Jason will be a valuable asset in our continuing efforts to promote Clemson Athletics and the spirit of One Clemson,” said D’Andrea.

Wilson will also assist in the selected sport event management responsibilities, including video board presentation at our athletic venues. He will also work directly with the ticket office and the Executive Director of IPTAY in the assignment of football and basketball parking.

Wilson holds a master’s degree in sports management from Georgia Southern University and is a 2001 graduate of Clemson University. While earning a degree in biological sciences, Wilson also worked as a student trainer at Clemson from 1997-2000 and was named most valuable trainer three times. The Salem, SC, native attended Walhalla High School and is the son of Clemson graduates Doug and Donna Wilson.
