Golf Finishes Sixth at Isleworth Collegiate Invitational

Jack Ferguson recorded his second top 10 finish of the fall and Brian Duncan finished 11th individually to lead Clemson to a sixth place team finish at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, FL. Clemson shot a 295 team score on Tuesday to finish the 54-hole event with an 884 team total.

Georgia won the event with an 863 score, a 10-shot winner over Oklahoma State, who featured individual champion Pablo Martin. Georgia Tech was third at 874 and Texas was fourth at 882. Augusta State finished one shot better than Clemson in fifth place.

Ferguson finished eighth to record his 14th career top 10 finish, best among active Tigers. He shot a 217 for the three rounds, one over par on the difficult 7426 yard course. Ferguson had a 2.92 average on the par three holes, second best in the field of 80 golfers.

Brian Duncan, like Ferguson, shot a final round 73 to lead the Tigers on Tuesday and finished one shot in back of Ferguson at 218. He had a second round 69 that was the best by a Tiger at the event.

Brent Delahoussaye had a 75 in the final round and finished 20th at 221. Stephen Poole had a 74 on Tuesday, third among Clemson golfers, and he finished in 47th spot at 233. Martin Catalioto had an 81 on Tuesday and finished 78th.
