FSU Beats Auburn 1-0 In NCAA Women’s Soccer

CLEMSON, SC – Camie Bybee scored the game’s only goal as Florida State defeated Auburn 1-0 in in the first round of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament at Clemson’s Riggs Field Friday afternoon.

The Seminoles are now 15-7-1 overall, and will face the winner of the Clemson-Kentucky match Sunday afternoon at 11:30 a.m. The time of the match was changed from 12:30 p.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Florida State is ranked 18th by Soccer America and 16th in the NSCAA poll. Auburn ends its season with a 11-8-1 record this year. Auburn is ranked 19th by Soccer America.

Florida State scored at the 58:01 mark. Maren Vik Edvardsen sent the ball to Jez Ratliff on the right. Ratliff crossed the ball to the far post to Camie Bybee who headed the ball in from close range.
