Four Clemson Men’s Soccer Players Named NSCAA All-South

CLEMSON, SC–Four Clemson men’s soccer players were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-South team as announced Thursday.

Dane Richards was named to the first team and Phil Marfuggi, and Alan O’Hara were both named to the second team. Frederico Moojen was named to the third team.

Richards led the team in scoring with 11 goals and nine assists for 31 points. Earlier this month, he was named first-team All-ACC.

Marfuggi finished the year with a 1.29 goals allowed average and had 67 saves on the year. For his career, he had 237 saves and that number is fourth on the Clemson career list for most saves. He was named second-team All-ACC this season.

O’Hara started 17 matches for the Tigers as a defender and is a veteran of 40 matches over his two-year career.

Moojen was second on the team with 11 goals and two assists for 24 points. He was named second-team All-ACC this year.

Clemson finished the season with a 13-5-2 record on the year. The Tigers advanced to the NCAA Final 16. The Tigers were ranked ninth in the Final Soccer America poll.
