A total of 33 former Clemson football players are expected to report to NFL training camps later this month. The list includes eight players from last year’s 3-8 team, six of whom were drafted. Clemson has had 11 players drafted over the last two years.
In addition to these 33 players, two former Tigers are currently playing in the Canadian League. Ronald Williams is a starting running back for the Hamilton Tigercats and he got his 1999 season off to a great start with three touchdowns last week in the season opening game. Former Clemson quarterback Nealon Greene is currently the second-team quarterback with the Edmonton Eskimos. He completed 9-15 passes for 125 yards off the bench in his season opener last week.
