Former Clemson Swimmer Places Fifth at Senior Nationals

CLEMSON, S.C. – Former Clemson swimmer Razvan Petcu placed fifth with a time of 55.18 in the 100 fly this week at Senior Nationals, held in Long Island, NY. Petcu also competed in the 50 and 100 freestyle events. He swam the 100 free in 51.17, placing tenth overall. In the 50 free, he placed 18th with a time of 23.59.

Petcu holds Clemson records in the 100 free (43.82) and the 100 fly (47.99). He represented the Tigers in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly at the 1998 NCAA National Championships.
