Football’s White Dismissed From Clemson Team

April 5, 2000

Clemson, S.C. — Wide receiver Waymon White has been dismissed from the Clemson football team for a violation of team rules, Head Coach Tommy Bowden said Wednesday.

A rising red-shirt junior, White played in three games as a reserve wide receiver the last two years and never caught a pass. He played nine total plays in the three games over the two years. The only game he appeared in last year was Clemson’s 58-7 win over Duke. The native of Decatur, GA and Decatur High School red-shirted the 1997 season at Clemson.
