Five Tigers Named to All-ACC Academic Cross Country Team

CLEMSON, S.C. — Five members of Clemson’s cross country program were named to the All-ACC Academic Teams that were announced Thursday by the conference office. Grace Barnett received the accolade among the women’s team, while Evan Abdullah, Josh Davis, James Dwyer and Roland Hakes were honored on the men’s side. The honor was the second of Hakes’ career, and first for the others.

Barnett led the Tigers individually in four of the six meets last fall, including the NCAA Southeast Regionals. She also owned the team’s top time in both the 5K and 6K. Hakes led the Tiger men in three meets, including the Southeast Regionals. Abdullah, Davis and Dwyer were instrumental in leading Clemson to a victory at the Crimson Classic on Oct. 17 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

The complete list of honorees can be found here.
