Firth Selected to Cape Cod League All-Star Game

Rising junior righthander Scott Firth (Buffalo Grove, IL) was selected for the Cape Cod League All-Star game, announced on Friday. The 49th-annual Cape Cod League All-Star game will be played at Fenway Park in Boston, MA on Friday. Firth is a member of the West Division All-Stars.

Pitching for Hyannis, Firth has led the Harbor Hawks to a league-best 22-12 record. In 33.0 innings pitched over six starts, he has a 3-0 record and league-best 0.82 ERA. He has also allowed just 23 hits, four runs (three earned), and 19 walks with 25 strikeouts.

As a long reliever and starter during his first two seasons (2010,11) at Clemson, he has pitched 82.2 innings over 32 appearances (11 starts). He has a 7-2 record and 3.27 ERA overall and a 3-1 record and 2.97 ERA in 33.1 innings pitched in ACC regular-season games over his career. In 2011, the All-ACC Academic team member had a 5-1 record and 3.06 ERA in 16 appearances (seven starts).
