CLEMSON, S.C. – Joana Eidukonyte has been chosen as one of 16 collegiate women’s tennis players to compete in the Inaugural Oracle/ITA Masters. The tournament, the first national collegiate championship of the 2015-16 season, takes place Sept. 16-18 at the renowned Malibu Racquet Cub in Malibu, California and will host 16 elite men’s and women’s singles players and eight men’s and women’s doubles teams.

Eidukonyte, an All-American and First Team All-ACC member, finished her junior season ranked 16th nationally after amassing an impressive 37-7 singles record in 2014-15. She advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 before falling to eventual national champion, Jamie Loeb of North Carolina. The native of Vilnius, Lithuania is one of six players chosen from the ACC.

Fourteen singles and two doubles spots have been determined already, with wild card selections and doubles at-large selections to still be announced. The ITA will announce the full field and tournament draws closer to the event. Winners of the singles titles will earn automatic berths into the 2015 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship.
