CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s diving team will compete at both the Pittsburgh Invitational and Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday-Sunday this weekend. The Tigers will split the squad in two in order to compete at both meets this weekend.
“I am excited to see our ladies perform at both of the invitationals this weekend,” said Clemson Head Coach Leslie Hasselbach Adams. “They have been gearing up for this all semester. I know our platform divers are looking forward to competing their lists of dives for the first time at this point in the season.”
The Tigers will make their second straight appearance at the Georgia Tech Invitational while making their first appearance at the Pittsburgh Invitational. Last season, Juliana Melchionda led the Tigers in both the one-meter and three-meter events at the Georgia Tech Invitational. Jessica Resler led the Tigers in the platform event in that meet.
This will be the final career meet for senior Bailey Warren, who will graduate in December. Warren, who will compete at the Pittsburgh Invitational, set her career high in a dual meet at Georgia Tech less than two weeks ago.
Emily Howard will get her first opportunity to qualify for NCAA Zones in the platform event, having already qualified in the both in the one-meter and three-meter events. Jessica Resler will compete in the platform for the first time after leading the Tigers in points in the that event last season.
Four other Tigers will get their first chances to compete in the platform event this season, including freshman Sarah Braun, who will make her first career appearance in that event.
