CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s track team competed at the Clemson Invitational at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Facility on Friday. The Lady Tigers qualified two for Saturday’s finals at the Clemson Invitational. There were two automatic NCAA qualifiers from other schools on Friday and five provisional qualifiers.

Randi Hinton led the Lady Tigers in the 60m dash preliminaries with a time of 7.63, but did not qualify for Saturday’s finals. In the 60m hurdles, the Lady Tigers had two qualifiers for the finals on Saturday. Silja Ulfarsdottir recorded a qualifying time of 8.67, as did Renata Miyamoto with a time of 8.77. In the distance medley relay, the Lady Tiger team of Jenny Barton, Casey Phillips, Sudati Masasu, and Patrice McMillan posted a time of 11:56.49 to finish second. The Clemson “B” team of Tia Perry, Laura Ann Rukat, LaToya Woodberry, and Lauren Brewer finished with a time of 12:36.47 to place seventh.

In the long jump, Renata Miyamoto finished 15th with a jump of 17’6″. Michelle Rogers finished 17th with a leap of 16’10.75″. Della Clark finished 15th in the weight throw with a mark of 53’3.75″, Krystal Woods was 17th with a throw of 51’7″, and Mikaela Patterson had a throw of 51’2.25″.
