Dantzler Returns to Practice

Nov. 1, 2000

Clemson – Clemson quarterback Woodrow Dantzler returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since re-aggravating an ankle injury in the team’s loss to Georgia Tech this past Saturday.

“He got the percentage of snaps like a number one quarterback would on Wednesday,” coach Tommy Bowden said. “With another day of practice like he had today, he could potentially start on Saturday. I don’t think he is 100 percent today, but he could be over 90 percent by game day.”

Dantzler originally bruised his right foot in the win over North Carolina on Oct. 21, but returned to the starting role against the Yellow Jackets. He did not return in the second half of that game.
