Dantzler Claimed By Falcons; Greene Called Up To Majors

Former Clemson quarterback Woodrow Dantzler, 5-10, 209 pounds, was originally signed by Dallas as a rookie free agent out of Clemson in 2002. After making the change from collegiate quarterback to professional running back, Dantzler led Dallas during the preseason last year with a 44.6 kickoff return average while carrying the ball 11 times for 33 yards.

Former Tiger shortstop Khalil Greene was called up by the San Diego Padres. Had he arrived in time last night, Greene would have started at short with left-hander Chris Capuano starting on the mound for the Diamondbacks.
