Dabo Swinney’s Ladies Clinic a Huge Success; Group Photo Now Available

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney held his first annual Ladies Football Clinic on Saturday, July 25 at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson. There were 1,020 paid attendees, which was a new all-time record for attendance at the clinic. Attendees received instruction from the Clemson coaching staff and a behind the scene look into Tiger football.

One-third of each $45 registration fee paid was designated for breast cancer research, and a dollar-for-dollar match from Dabo’s All-In Team Foundation doubled the amount. Partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Anderson’s AnMed Health, the clinic raised $30,600.

Diana Ivankovic representing Susan G. Komen said, “As a breast cancer survivor and a cancer researcher, I can assure you that every penny counts and it’s a step further in the fight against breast cancer. I was touched and impressed by seeing so many ladies participate and willing to learn how to prevent and diagnose breast cancer at its earlier stage.”

Lauren Barnett, AnMed Community Relations Coordinator said, “We just want to thank Coach Swinney for allowing us to participate in this event. We’re as passionate about breast health as these ladies are about Clemson football. It was great to be able to provide education and resources about an issue that’s as close to his heart as it is to ours.”

Also at Saturday’s event, Dabo and Kathleen Swinney presented a check for $4,000 from the foundation to Dr. Roy Jones, Director of Clemson’s Call Me MISTER Program. The program’s mission is to increase the pool of available teachers from a broader, more diverse background particularly among the state’s lowest performing elementary schools.
