Cross Country Heads to Notre Dame for Joe Piane Invitational Friday

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s and women’s cross country teams are set to compete at Notre Dame’s 63rd annual Joe Piane Invitational Friday at the Burke Golf Course in Notre Dame, Indiana. The Tiger women will kick off Friday’s action in the Blue Division in the women’s 5K race at 1 p.m. The Clemson men are set to compete in the Gold Division in a five-mile race, which is slated for 4 p.m.

Notre Dame Preview

A total of 39 teams are set to compete Friday at Friday’s meet, including 37 women’s teams and 31 men’s teams. This year’s field boasts 20 regionally-ranked men’s teams and 17 regionally-ranked women’s teams.

Clemson had last weekend off after competing at Vanderbilt’s Commodore Classic in Nashville, Tennessee on Sept. 15. There, sophomore Logan Morris earned a fourth-place overall finish in the women’s 5K race after turning in a time of 17:29.4.
