Box Score

BOULDER, CO–Nikki Marshall scored four goals in leading Colorado to a 5-1 win over Clemson in the Colorado Invitational at Boulder, CO Friday night.

With the win, Colorado improves to 2-0-1 overall, while Clemson falls to 2-1 this season.

The Lady Tigers were without the services of senior forward Courtney Foster. Foster injured her knee in the Tennessee Tech match last Sunday and will be out for the remainder of the season.

The Buffalos scored in the 11th minute as Michelle Wenino scored from a Mary White corner kick.

Marshall scored the next four goals for Colorado. Wenino added an assist and Nikki Keller had two assists during the Buffalo run.

Clemson got on the board in the 64th minute on an unassisted goal by Elizabeth Jobe.

“The match started off badly and got worse from there,” said Clemson Head Coach Courtney Foster and that changed our attack. However, there is no excuse in the way we played. We will have to regroup and get ready to play a good Denver team this Sunday.”
