ClemsonTigers.com Reaches New Traffic High

May 22, 2003

ClemsonTigers.com, the official website of the Clemson University Athletic Department, set a new milestone with 3,841,536 page views in April, its most ever for a single month. The page views represent a 149% increase over April of 2002.

The figure also ranks Clemson second among all Official College Sports Network- partner schools in April. Clemson’s site received over 1 million more hits than third-ranked South Carolina. North Carolina led all schools with 5,841,851 hits in April.

“We are certainly pleased with the results from our Internet site for the month of April and in the last year,” said Assistant A.D./Sports Information Director Tim Bourret. “It is a testament to the interest in our athletic program world wide, and to the hard work of our sports information office. To see this progress, an increase of nearly 150 percent in terms of page views compared to last year is incredible. We strive to keep our site as fresh as possible to give our constituency a reason to visit the site and it is obviously paying off.”

The Official College Sports Network (OCSN) is the largest and most trafficked network on the Internet devoted exclusively to college sports. OCSN hosts official athletic websites for 137 college athletic departments, including the entire ACC and PAC-10 as well as much of the Big 12, Big Ten and SEC.
