Sept. 7, 2006

CLEMSON, SC–Clemson’s senior defender Alan O’Hara, who led Clemson’s defense in the Tigers’ two shutout victories this past weekend, was named to Soccer America’s Team-of-the-Week as announced by the publication Thursday.

Clemson won the Memphis Men’s Soccer Invitational with a 2-0 win over Memphis on Friday and a 2-0 victory over Oral Roberts on Sunday. O’Hara was named the MVP of the tournament. This was the 25th time in school history that the Tigers have won a regular season tournament.

Clemson will play host to top-ranked Maryland Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field in the Tigers’ next action.
