Clemson’s Jamine Moton Named Co-ACC Performer Of The Week

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson women’s track and field senior Jamine Moton was named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference women’s track and field performer of the week. She shares the honor with Georgia Tech’s Katie Griffin.

The senior from Glassboro, NJ, recorded an automatic qualifying mark in the shot put, as well as provisionally qualifying in the discus throw. Moton recorded a mark of 54’11.5″ in the shot put at the Raleigh Relays, automatically qualifying her for the 2002 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships to be held in Baton Rouge, LA, May 29-June 1. She also provisionally qualified in the discus with a throw of 170’2″. Moton recorded season best marks in both events.

Clemson will travel to Austin, TX to compete in the Texas Relays on Apr. 3-6.
