Clemson’s Casey Phillips To Compete At Southeast Regional

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Lady Tiger sophomore Casey Phillips will compete at the 2003 NCAA Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships at Overton’s Lake Kristi on Saturday. The women’s 6K race will begin at approximately 11:00 AM, with the top two teams automatically advancing to the NCAA Championships to be held on the campus of Northern Iowa University on Nov. 24. Individually, the top four runners in each race that are not members of the championship team will advance to the national finals.

Phillips, a sophomore from Greenville, SC, has led the Lady Tiger harriers in every meet this season. She posted a 2003 and career-best time of 23:17.9 at the ACC Championships two weeks ago.
