Clemson Women’s Volleyball To Host North Carolina

CLEMSON, S.C. — The Clemson volleyball team will host ACC rival North Carolina Tuesday evening at Jervey Gym. The match between the Tigers (12-15, 5-8 ACC) and Tar Heels (22-6, 12-2 ACC) is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m.

The Tar Heels are currently second in the ACC standings heading into the last week of regular season play. In their last meeting on Sept. 23, UNC defeated Clemson 3-0 (15-3, 17-15, 15-8). Jodi Steffes and Kiki Dallao led the Tigers in that match with 17 and 16 kills respectively. Casey Simpson and Laura Greene were the Tar Heels’ leaders with 15 and 14 kills each. The Tar Heels hold a 33-12 advantage over the Tigers in the all-time series even though Clemson has won nine of the last 16 meetings under head coach Jolene Jordan Hoover.

Jodi Steffes leads the Tigers in total kills (400) with a 4.40 kills per game average. Steffes and Meredith Kirtland both have a team-best 295 digs while Steffes leads in digs per game (3.24). Jessi Betcher is the assist leader with 1091 assists this season (11.73 assists per game). Betcher also leads the team in aces per game with a 0.29 per game average (27 total). Jackie Dalleska has a team-best 66 blocks with a 0.82 blocks per game average.
