Clemson Women’s Volleyball Ranked 13th In AVCA Poll

Oct. 5, 1999

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team is ranked 13th nationally for the third week in a row according to the AVCA Division I Coaches Poll released this week. The Tigers received 774 points in the poll. Last week Clemson defeated South Carolina and Georgia Tech to push its winning streak to 14 matches.

“This is a big week for us in the ACC,” said Jolene Jordan Hoover, who is in her seventh season as the head coach of the Tiger volleyball program. “Fortunately we have three matches at home. We are hoping to have a good week and take advantage of facing NC State, Florida State and North Carolina at home.”

Clemson (14-0, 3-0 ACC) will play host to NC State Tuesday at 6 p.m. This weekend the Tigers will face Florida State Friday at 7 p.m. and North Carolina Saturday at 5 p.m. All matches will be held in Jervey Gym.
