Clemson Women’s Track And Field Team Completes Competition At Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, FL – The Clemson women’s track and field team completed competition at the Florida Relays held this weekend at the University of Florida’s Percy Beard Track and Field Complex. Three Lady Tigers qualified for the East Region Championships in the 400m hurdles. Silja Ulfarsdottir led the Lady Tiger hurdlers with a seventh-place finish and time of 58.98, while Shakirah Rutherford was 11th in 1:00.11 and Christina Smith was 16th out of the field of 40 with her time of 1:00.44.

In the 100m dash, Silja Ulfarsdottir, Silja Ulfarsdottir finished seventh with a time of 3:59.13. Silja Ulfarsdottir combined to clock a 12:02.63 and finish fifth overall.

In the field events, Michelle Rogers competed in the triple jump, posting a mark of 37’3.25″. In the javelin throw, Krystal Woods recorded a season-best throw of 122’7″.

The Clemson women’s track and field team will return to action on Saturday, April 3, as the Lady Tigers host the Clemson Invitational.
