Clemson Women’s Track And Field Student-Athlete Named To USTCA All-Academic Team

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson women’s track and field sophomore Gisele Oliveira was named to the US Track and Field Coaches Association All-Academic Team in recognition of her academic and athletic achievements. Qualifying student-athletes must have completed two semesters at the institution, hold at least a 3.10 cumulative GPA and have met the provisional qualifying marks for the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championships.

Oliveira, a sophomore from Porto Alegre, Brazil, has a 3.86 cumulative GPA and is majoring in marketing. She provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships in the triple jump, and earned All-America honors in the triple jump outdoors with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Oliveira is Clemson’s all-time leader in the indoor and outdoor triple jump. She is also a member of the 2001-02 ACC and Clemson Academic Honor Rolls.
