Clemson Women’s Tennis Team To Play Host To South Florida Friday Morning

CLEMSON, SC – The 13th-ranked Clemson women’s tennis team is scheduled to play South Florida and Furman on Friday. The Tigers will face the Bulls on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center in Clemson. The team will travel to Greenville on Friday afternoon to take on the Paladins in a 4:00 p.m. match.

The Tigers, ranked 13th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll released on March 9, are 8-2 overall and 2-0 in the ACC so far this season. Last weekend, Clemson opened ACC play at home with wins over NC State (7-0) and Wake Forest (6-1).

Clemson holds an 11-6 advantage in the series against South Florida. In 2003, the Tigers defeated the Bulls by a score of 7-0 in Tampa. South Florida is 2-7 on the season, most recently falling to William & Mary in a 4-3 decision.

The Tigers are 33-3 all-time against the Paladins, with Clemson winning a 6-1 decision over Furman at home last season. The Paladins are 4-5 so far this season after posting a 4-3 victory over Loyola Marymount last weekend. Furman and South Florida are scheduled to play on Thursday before both teams face the Tigers on Friday.
