Clemson Women’s Swimming In 31st After Day One Of NCAA Championships

AUSTIN, TX – The Clemson women’s swimming team is in 31st place after day one of the 2002 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The Tigers’ 200 free relay and 400 medley relay recorded season-best times en route to 16th-place finishes.

Clemson’s 200 free relay team of Christine Woodruff, Jenna Burtch, Elise Thieler and Patty Hider recorded a season-best time of 1:32.28 in the preliminaries of the event before posting a finals time of 1:33.34.

In the 400 medley relay, the Tigers’ team of Jenna Burtch recorded a season-best time of 3:43.50 in the preliminaries. In the finals, the Clemson team finished in 3:46.75.

Clemson will continue its NCAA competition throughout the weekend in Austin, TX.
