CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jim Davis has signed a new five-year contract to coach the Lady Tigers through the 2005 season.

This past season, he took a team that had just one returning starter to the second-round of the NCAA Tournament. The young Lady Tigers collected 19 wins, including nine against ACC Teams. Davis has had at least a break-even record in ACC play in 13 consecutive seasons.

“Jim Davis has produced a program that has been a consistent winner in all phases since he first came to Clemson in 1987,” said Clemson Athletic Director, Bobby Robinson. “This new contract is a result of that long term consistent level of success. We hope he finishes his career at Clemson.”
