CLEMSON, SC – Head women’s basketball coach Itoro Coleman announced that the squad’s annual Orange and White scrimmage will be held on Friday, October 22 at 6:00 pm in Littlejohn Coliseum. The team will play two 20-minute halves, and then go through game situations. Admission will be free to the public.
It will be the second opportunity for fans to get to know the new program, as Rock the John will be on October 15 at 6:00 pm.
Coleman’s squad returns four of the top five scorers form last season, led by Sthefany Thomas’ 8.4 points per game. Jasmine Tate is the leading returning rebounder, as she averaged 5.4 per game last season.
Coleman is in her first season as Clemson’s head coach, and she inherits a team that was 13-18 a season ago, and 4-10 in the ACC. The Tigers open up the season on November 12 at 5:30 pm with UNC-Greensboro as part of a double-header with the men’s team, who plays at 8:00 pm against Western Carolina.
