Clemson Will Play Host to Boston College Friday

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s soccer team will play host to ACC ­foe and 14th-ranked Boston College on Friday evening at Historic Riggs Field at 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ClemsonTigers.com via TigerCast.

Clemson will enter the match with a 3-7 record overall and 1-4 slate in the ACC. The Eagles will enter the match with a 9-3 record overall and a 2-2 mark in league play.

The Tigers are led in scoring by Brynjar Benediktsson with four goals and two assists for 10 points. Austin Savage has three goals and one assist for seven points.

Boston College is led in scoring by Kyle Bekker and Charlie Rugg. Both players have scored six goals and had four assists for 16 points. Amit Aburmad has five goals and five assists for 15 points.

This will be the eighth meeting between Clemson and Boston College on the soccer field. The Eagles lead the overall series 3-2-2. The Eagles are winless at Historic Riggs Field as the Tigers have defeated Boston College twice and tied the Eagles once in matches played at Clemson. The series started in 2005.

The match has also been declared a Solid Orange event. All fans are encouraged to wear Orange and be part of this ACC action. Also, Clemson soccer t-shirts as well as the popular Clemson United scarves will be given away to lucky fans.
