Clemson vs. Florida State is Solid Orange Game

Nov. 3, 2009

Clemson, SC – The Clemson vs. Florida State game this Saturday night at Clemson Memorial Stadium is designated a Solid Orange Game. All Clemson fans are encouraged to wear as much orange as possible in support of the Tigers in this key Atlantic Division contest that will be televised nationally on ESPN at 7:45 PM.

“We want to show the country what Clemson spirit is all about,” said Head Coach Dabo Swinney. “The best way to do that is to have a sea of orange when the broadcast begins.” The Clemson team will be dressed in all orange as well.

Tickets are still available for the contest that will feature two of the top offensive players in the nation, Clemson running back C.J. Spiller and Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder.

To purchase tickets, call 1-800-CLEMSON or visit www.clemsontigers.com.

Students Asked to “Lock In” with the Team The running down the hill is one of the greatest and most exciting traditions Clemson takes part in! When the team gets off the bus and is standing on top of that hill they lock arms and show that they are one and are as only as strong as the teammate beside them. This is a great symbol of unity for the football team.

When the team is “locked in” with each other we want the entire student body to lock arms and sway just as the football team does. We want this to show that we support our tigers and we are all one and connected by our blood that runs orange! Be sure to get in the stadium early enough to show your support. Check out the Facebook group HERE and be sure to invite everyone you know to get the word out about being “locked in.”
