It is the 6th time this year that Clemson has outrebounded the opponent. In those 6 games, Clemson is 3-3. It was the 2nd best rebounding margin for Clemson in a game this season. Coming into today’s game, UNC was outrebounding their opponents by 7.8 rebounds per game.

Clemson committed 35 turnovers in today’s game, which ties for the fourth-most in school history. It is tied for the second-most ever at home, and is the most in Littlejohn since committing a school-record 41 against Maryland in 1985Individual Notes:Natiece Ford took her 4th charge of the season today and the 11th of her career. With those 11, she is the active Clemson leader. Quinyotta Pettaway finished the game with 3 steals, which ties her career high for a single game. Pettaway had 10 rebounds in the first half and finished the game with 18, a new career high. It was the 10th time in her career she’s finished with double-figure rebounds. Her previous career-high was 14 against Jacksonville on Dec. 2.Pettaway finished with a double-double in today’s game, totaling 10 points and 18 rebounds, her third of the season and seventh of her career. Entering today’s game Nikki Dixon had 98 career steals. With her 4 steals today, she passed the 100 career steals mark and now has 102 in only 39 career games. That makes her the 2nd fastest to the 100 steals mark in Clemson history behind LeLe Hardy, who accomplished the feat in 32 career games. Nikki Dixon scored in double figures for the 7th consecutive game with 22 points. Over that stretch, she is averaging 17.6 points per game. Nikki Dixon finished the game 10 for 10 from the free throw line. That ties her for 2nd place in Clemson history in a singles game with 4 other players. She is the first player to go 10-10 since Lakeia Stokes did it against Virginia on January 2, 2003. The school record is Itoro Umoh’s 12-12 night in 1998, which also came against North Carolina. The 10-10 mark does tie the Littlejohn record however, as Umoh’s came in Chapel Hill. Nikki Dixon surpassed the 500 career points milestone today with her 22-point performance. She had 479 coming in to the game and now has 501. She is the fastest Clemson player to 500 points since Chrissy Floyd also did it in 39 games from 1999-2001. Charmaine Tay had ten points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four steals in 30 minutes. The ten points are the second-most in her career, including her season at Louisville, and the four steals are also a career-best. Her five assists are the second-most in her career. She also set career-high for free throw attempts (10) and field goal attempts (11).
