Clemson Volleyball To Play Host To Furman

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson volleyball team will play host to Furman Tuesday evening at Jervey Gym. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Clemson (8-15) is led by senior Jodi Steffes who has 316 kills and a 3.81 kills per game average. She also leads the team in digs with 215 (2.59 dpg) and is second on the team in service aces (30) and hitting percentage (.283). Freshman Lori Ashton leads the team in hitting percentage (.298) and in blocks with 79 (18 solo). Junior Jessi Betcher is the Tigers’ leader in assists with 826 (9.95 apg) and in service aces with 33.

Furman’s Abby Simon leads the Paladins (15-10) in kills with 378 (4.25 kpg), while Laura Bush has a team-best .355 hitting percentage and 55 blocks (14 solo). Laura Hooks leads the team in assists with 974 (11.60 apg) and in service aces with 31. Carrie Rowley is the Paladins’ leader in digs with 275 for a 3.20 digs per game average.

The Tigers are undefeated against the Paladins in the 28 meetings between the teams. Clemson is 14-0 against Furman at Jervey Gym.
