Clemson Volleyball Downs Duke, 3-0

DURHAM, N.C. – The Clemson volleyball team, ranked 13th nationally, defeated Duke 3-0 (15-12, 15-11, 15-9) Wednesday night in Durham, NC, to win its 11th-straight match.

Senior Cindy Stern led the Tigers with 20 kills, six errors and 37 attempts for a .378 hitting percentage. She added seven block assists, also a team best. Senior Alison Coday recorded 26 digs and had 18 kills in the victory.

Freshman setter Jodi Betcher paced Clemson with 57 assists and hit .667 with six kills, no errors and nine attempts for a .667 attack percentage, while sophomore Jodi Steffes hit .344 with 13 kills, two errors and 32 attempts. Senior Emily Gorla added 15 digs, and junior Heidi Cooper had 11 digs for the Tigers.

Clemson (11-0, 2-0 ACC) will play host to Arkansas Sunday at 1 p.m. in Jervey Gym. Duke drops to 4-5, 0-1 ACC with the loss.
