Clemson Travels to No. 3 Duke for Midweek Contest

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team will hit the road for a second straight contest when they head to Cameron Indoor Stadium to take on Duke (19-0, 5-0 ACC) at 7:00 pm on Wednesday night. Senior Sthefany Thomas will take aim at the 1,000-point mark, entering Wednesday’s game with 997 career points.

The Tigers (9-12, 2-4 ACC) are coming off a 77-73 road win against Wake Forest. Clemson overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to win the game. Duke also had a big comeback, overcoming a 20-point deficit at NC State to win 65-64.

Wednesday’s game will be available at GoDuke.com on live video, and livestats are available as well. Clemson Tiger Sports Network will air the game throughout the state as well.

Duke is the seventh ranked team that Clemson has played in 2010-11, with all of those matchups coming within the last 11 games. The Blue Devils have won 17 in a row over the Tigers, who are 9-1 against teams from the Carolinas this season.

The Tigers debuted their fourth starting lineup of the season against Wake Forest, with Chancie Dunn earning her first career start, and Shaniqua Pauldo re-entering the lineup after coming off the bench for ten straight games.
