Clemson To Take On Flyers In Dayton On Tuesday Night

CLEMSON, SC – D’Lesha Lloyd and the Clemson women’s basketball team will look for their fourth straight win as they travel to Dayton, OH for a match-up against the Flyers on Tuesday night. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 pm from the University of Dayton Arena.

Lloyd leads the team with an 11.3 scoring average and posted 25 points with 13 rebounds against the Flyers a year ago. The senior from Columbia, SC has scored in double figures in six of the nine games she has played this season.

Point guard Christy Brown ranks second on the team with 9.6 points per game, while Morganne Campbell is scoring 9.3 per game. Both players rank among the top 30 in the conference for playing time, logging over 30 minutes per game apiece.

Scouting The Flyers After suffering back-to-back losses to open the 2007-08 season, the Dayton Flyers have rattled off nine straight wins for a 9-2 overall record. They are a perfect 4-0 in games played at UD Arena, most recently defeating cross-town rival Wright State, 65-46, on Sunday, Dec. 16.

Nikki Oakland leads Dayton with a 14.0 scoring average and also owns a team-best 6.9 rebounds per game. Brittany Holterman is also averaging in double figures with 11.7 points per game, while Kiki Lund has hit 26 three-point field goals off the bench for fifth-year head coach Jim Jabir .

The Flyers are out-scoring their opponents by more than 10 points per game and are also winning the battle on the boards (40.5-36.5).

Clemson vs. Dayton, The Series The Lady Tigers and Flyers have met just once before on the hardwood with Clemson claiming a 77-69 victory last season at Littlejohn Coliseum.
