Clemson to play host to North Carolina on Saturday night

CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson women’s soccer team will play host to second-ranked North Carolina Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field.

Clemson will enter the match with an 8-4 record overall and a 3-2 mark in the ACC. North Carolina has an 11-0-1 record this season and a 4-0 mark in league play.

This will be the 17th meeting between the two schools on the soccer field. The Tar Heels lead the overall series 15-1.

Clemson is currently ranked 24th in the latest Soccer America Poll. The Lady Tigers return home after a 1-0 victory over the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Lindsay Browne has been an outstanding leader for the Lady Tigers this season. She currently has six goals and one assist for 13 points this season.

North Carolina is led by Heather O’Reilly with eight goals and five assists for 21 points.
