QUICK FACTS • Clemson and Delaware State will meet for the third time in series history on Monday, but it will be the first matchup between the two schools since the 1986-87 season. Clemson holds a 2-0 advantage in the series. • The Tigers are coming off their first road win of the season, a 66-59 triumph over the College of Charleston at Carolina First Arena. It was Clemson’s 13th road non-conference win in its last 14 games. • Clemson held College of Charleston to 59 points, a season-low for the Cougars. In fact, it was CofC’s lowest point production since a 77-54 loss to Appalachian State in the 2010 Southern Conference Tournament. • Monday’s game will be the first versus a team from the state of Delaware since the Tigers took on the University of Delaware in the 1996-97 season in San Juan, Puerto Rico. • Clemson is second in the ACC and one of the top 50 teams in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 60.8 points per game to its opponents. • Reigning ACC Player-of-the-Week Jerai Grant posted his second straight double-double in the win over Charleston. The senior totaled 15 points and 10 rebounds, and made all nine of his free throw attempts. • Jerai’s uncle, Horace, averaged 16.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in two career meetings with Delaware State. • Demontez Stitt returned to the lineup on Dec. 22 against College of Charleston, just nine days removed from arthroscopic knee surgery. Stitt had eight points, six rebounds and four assists and was a major contributor down the stretch for the Tigers in the victory over the Cougars. He took a charge with under four minutes to play, and then hit a shot to put the Tigers ahead by five with 45 seconds left. • Andre Young has made at least one three-point goal in 13 consecutive games and in 28 of Clemson’s last 29 games overall. Young ranks among the top five in the ACC in three-point goals, three-point accuracy, minutes per game, steals per game and assist-to-turnover ratio. • Former Clemson forward Keith Walker is the associate head coach at Delaware State. He played in 29 games for the Tigers from 1978-81 and was a member of Clemson’s Elite Eight team in 1980.
