Clemson To Face Virginia Thursday Evening

CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Lady Tiger Basketball team will play host to Virginia Thursday night (February 7) at 7:00 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum.

The Lady Tigers enter the game with a 13-8 overall record, and a 5-5 mark in the conference. Coach Jim Davis’ squad is 9-2 in Littlejohn Coliseum this season. Clemson is led in scoring by Chrissy Floyd who is averaging 16.1 points per game. Floyd is second in the ACC in scoring. Clemson’s rebounding leader is Maggie Slosser who has a 5.5 rpg.

Virginia is led in scoring by Telisha Quarles, who is averaging 15.7 points per game. Brandi Teamer leads Virginia and the ACC in rebounding, averaging 9.1 rebounds per game.

This will be the 53rd meeting between Clemson and Virginia on the basketball court. The Cavaliers lead the overall series 28-24. On January 7, 2002, Clemson defeated the Cavaliers 79-68 at Charlottesville, VA in a game that featured Chrissy Floyd career-high 28 points.
