Clemson to Face Top-Ranked Tar Heels Saturday

The Clemson women’s soccer team will play host to number-one ranked North Carolina on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. on Historic Riggs Field.

Clemson will enter the match with an 8-4 record overall and a 2-1 mark in the ACC. Deliah Arrington leads the team in scoring with eight goals and five assists for 21 points. Heather Beem has seven goals and four assists for 18 points. The Lady Tigers are ranked 18th by Soccer America and 24th in the NSCAA poll.

This will be the 14th match between Clemson and North Carolina on the soccer field. The Tar Heels lead the overall series 12-1. The Tar Heels are led in scoring by Lindsay Tarpley and Alyssa Ramsey. Both players have 24 points on the season. Ramsey has 10 goals and four assists and Tarpley has nine goals and six assists. North Carolina has a 10-1-2 record overall. The Tar Heels have a 0-1 record in the ACC. The Tar Heels lost to N.C. State 2-1 on Thursday.
